Frequently Asked Questions
How long has Dr. Goh been associated
with Grand Strand Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery?
Dr. Goh has been with Grand Strand Plastic &
Reconstructive Surgery since 1991.
What factors should I consider when
selecting a plastic surgeon?
Ensure that the surgeon is board certified, the operating room is certified, and
that the surgeon has privileges at local hospitals. Dr. Goh is board certified by both the American Board of Plastic
Surgery and the American Board of Surgery. Our surgery facility is certified by the American Association for the Accreditation
of Ambulatory Surgical Facilities. Dr. Goh has privileges at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center and at Conway Medical Center.
How do I know what's right for me?
The consultation
with your surgeon should provide all the answers to every question you have regarding a procedure. You should also develop
a sense of comfort and rapport with the doctor at this time. If you are not comfortable with his/her demeanor or do not
develop a sense of safety and comfort, you should continue your search for the surgeon who is right for you.
How much will my surgery cost?
The cost of your surgery has three
components: Dr. Goh's fees, the anesthesia fee, and the operating room expenses. (Breast augmentation patients
also have a fee for the cost of the implants.) Other factors are the procedures you select and the duration of your surgery.
Dr. Goh will give you a precise estimate after your consultation.
What
is the general recovery time for plastic surgery?
Recovery time is relative to specific procedures. Most
patients return to work within 1-2 weeks, and in general, all patients can resume normal activities six weeks after
surgery.
