Abdominoplasty

Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck) helps flatten and shape the abdomen and waist by removing excess fat and skin and tightening muscles. The best candidates have pockets of fat or loose skin that haven't responded well to diet and exercise, or anyone with significant weight loss with a remaining abdomen area issue. The procedure is useful for women with stretched skin and muscles from pregnancy.

The procedure takes approximately two to five hours and is performed with general anesthesia.  Recovery time ranges from two weeks to a few months. With a balanced diet and regular exercise, results are long-lasting. Abdominoplasty will likely leave a permanent scar stretching between the hips, although it should be low enough for even a bikini or swimsuit to conceal it.

Thigh Lift

A thigh lift is performed to remove excess skin and fat from the upper legs. Candidates typically suffer from loose, inelastic skin after extreme weight loss due to diet, exercise or bariatric surgery. Because of this, the procedure is often combined with others such as breastlifts, facelifts and armlifts to retain an attractive body proportion.

In a medial thigh lift (inner thigh lift), the surgical incision is made in the inner thigh along the line where the leg meets the groin. In a lateral thigh lift (outer thigh lift), the incision is made from the groin around the back of the body, so that the buttocks are lifted along with the thigh.

Arm Lift

An arm lift, also known as brachioplasty, is a surgical procedure performed to remove excess fat and skin from the upper arms for a more toned, slimmer appearance. Over time, the soft tissue in the upper arm becomes lax and may begin to droop and sag, resulting in arms that appear loose and hanging. Soft sagging tissue on the upper arms may also be the result of a very successful weight loss program. Often, even an otherwise productive exercise program cannot address the inelastic skin and fat deposits that may cause sagging upper arms. Many people are embarrassed by the appearance of sagging upper arms, and seek treatment to restore a slimmer, more youthful appearance.

Buttock Lift

If you want to enlarge or reshape your buttocks and have discovered that the area does not respond to diet or exercise, buttock augmentation may be the solution you've been looking for. A buttock lift (butt lift) contours the buttocks and compensates for low amounts of fat in the area. Women and men who enlarge their bottoms can enjoy a more voluptuous and perky profile. This type of augmentation can be safely achieved through injections of the patient's own body fat.

Labiaplasty

The labia can occasionally be too long or too thick.  (This can result from pregnancy and may occur at puberty.)  If the labia are too long they can be pinched in jeans, show a bulge in or hang out of a swimsuit.  Sometimes they can be so long as to be uncomfortable during intercourse.  Excessively long labia can be shortened, under local or general anesthetic, and contoured to be more comfortable in snug clothing or swimwear.

Cosmetic Hand Lift

As we age, the skin on our hands can change just as much as the skin on our face, resulting in thinner, sagging skin and an increased visibility of the tendons and veins, as well as age spots. Fortunately, for patients unhappy with the appearance of their hands, there are several minimally invasive cosmetic procedures available that can correct the signs of aging and restore smooth, youthful skin.

Hand rejuvenation is a restorative treatment that combines skin fillers such as Sculptra® and fat injections to replace lost volume and improve the overall appearance of the hand. Surgical techniques may also be used to remove cysts or other harmless but unattractive lesions that may develop on the hands. Your doctor will develop a customized treatment plan for each patient based on their aesthetic goals.

Liposuction

The most popular cosmetic surgery procedure in the U.S., liposuction sculpts the body by removing undesirable fat that has not responded to diet and exercise from areas such as the abdomen, waist, hips, buttocks, thighs, knees, chin, cheeks, neck and upper arms. Local anesthesia or general anesthesia may be used, and the procedure can last anywhere from one to five hours depending on the amount of fat being removed.

There are several different methods surgeons use when performing liposuction, including ultrasound-assisted lipectomy (UAL) and suction-assisted lipectomy (SAL). In both types, fluid is injected into the area to be treated. Then a tiny incision is made in as inconspicuous a place as possible, and a cannula (small tube) breaks up the fat layer and suctions it out.  Those fat cells will permanently be removed from your body in that area.  The skin may shrink on its own after traditional liposuction, but if the skin is loose it may need some help to increase shrinkage.

Energy can be added after the fluid is injected, by ultrasound.  Dr. Goh uses external ultrasound for this.  This process requires less incisions and it is gentler than internal ultrasound.  Adding energy causes the skin to shrink more than in traditional liposuction.  If there is loose skin, stretch marks and cellulite it helps the skin look its best after liposuction.
